BKP is an LA-based independent film production and sales company which has produced almost $10 million in feature films since its inception in 2005, including the successful British Gangster movie, JOHNNY WAS.

EtchStar.com is Katz's other venture. EtchStar.com allows shoppers to permanently tattoo custom artwork and text on the back of iPods, laptop computers and more using a high precision laser. The company hosts a user-generated custom art library as well as thousands of pieces of officially licensed art including The Simpsons, Star Trek, Nickelodeon shows, and the US Army.

Outside of work hours, Katz has enjoyed travelled to over seventy countries, is an avid downhill skier and writes concert and venue reviews for national publications. Prior to his career as an entrepreneur, Katz worked in New York at Deutsche Bank in leveraged finance investment banking and at Solomon Smith Barney in health care M&A.
