George Montague joined Medtronic in 2003 as Vice President of Finance for its Diabetes business. This business is the leading global provider of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors to help people with diabetes. Prior to that, he spent four years as Vice President of Finance for a division of Hughes Electronics. Earlier in his career, George held a broad range of financial management positions with Black & Decker, Cooper Industries and Apple Computer.

George earned a BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Certified Public Accountant and CFA charter holder. He is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and currently serves on its Audit and Accounting Committee.
