LAMBA, INSEAD Alumni Association L.A., Kellogg Alumni Club of Los Angeles, and Chicago Booth Alumni Club of Los Angeles invite members and non-members of The Wharton Club of Southern California to join them for the LA movie screening premiere of the documentary film 8:15 Hiroshima: From Father to Daughter, a gripping story of the atrocities of war and the overwhelming power for love and forgiveness.
About the film:
Movie Summary:
Akiko Mikamo is a child of Hiroshima. Weaving audio and video recordings from interviews she conducted with her father Shinji Mikamo, archival images of the aftermath of the first use of atomic weapons against humanity, as well as re-enactments spoken in Hiroshima dialect, this film is woven together in an innovative documentary format to give you a rare first person account of the bombing of Hiroshima.
This is a remarkable true story about the resiliency of the human spirit, compassion and forgiveness.
