Time: Clean up 9:00am - 11:00 am PT with picnic to follow (time is flexible, come and leave as you need to)
Location: The Ink Well at Santa Monica Beach (Parking lot between Bay and Bicknell in Santa Monica, Google Link: https://goo.gl/maps/ZAf5kM34uCCBHKJh6)
Cost: $25 solo beach cleaner; $30 per beach cleaner group (all tickets include one t-shirt*, additional fee is to cover refreshment cost)
Wharton SoCal and The Penn Club of LA are joining with The MBA Collective of Southern California (Southern California clubs of UC Berkeley Haas, University of Chicago Booth School, Columbia GSB, Harvard Business School, Kellogg, London School of Business, MIT Sloan, Stanford GSB, and Wharton/UPenn) for a beach cleanup and seaside picnic social on Saturday, September 24th.
Your ticket price will go towards the included t-shirt and provided refreshments, and any remaining funds will be donated to Surfrider who will be providing the cleanup equipment.
We are partnering with the Los Angeles Chapter of Surfrider Foundation for a beach cleanup at Ink Well Beach, a historically black beach just south of the Santa Monica Pier. Surfrider will provide us with all of the beach cleanup tools and we provide the labor. This will be a family friendly event and a fun day at the beach so pack up your sunscreen and come on out!
Afterwards, we will be having a picnic at the grassy area next to the event (Crescent Bay Park just above the beach and parking lot), feel free to bring a picnic blanket and any food/drinks that you would like. The MBA Collective will be serving refreshments (snacks and non-alcoholic beverages).
T-Shirt order deadline has passed, so remaining tickets will be beach cleanup and picnic only.
