WDAC (a WSC initiative) invites all Wharton and Penn alumni and students worldwide for this interactive virtual event exploring regulation and career opportunities in the digital assets industry. This event is offered in conjunction with the Wharton Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets Online Certificate Program.

Time: 9-10am PDT
Format: Interview for 40 minutes and then breakout rooms. One room will feature current job opportunities and another a Q&A session with Professor Werbach.

Academic Director of the Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets Online Certificate Program
Prof. Kevin Werbach is professor of Legal Studies & Business Ethics; the Liem Sioe Liong/First Pacific Company Professor; and chairperson of Legal Studies & Business Ethics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He is an expert on internet policy, artificial intelligence, blockchain and digital assets, and gamification. He has held positions including serving as counsel for new technology policy at the U.S. FCC during the Clinton administration, a member of President Barack Obama's administration’s Presidential Transition Team, and an expert advisor on broadband issues at the FCC and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
He has testified before the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, and FCC. Prof. Werbach is regularly cited in print and broadcast media and has authored books including The Blockchain and the New Architecture of Trust and For the Win: The Power of Gamification, and edited After the Digital Tornado: Networks, Algorithms, Humanity.
Prof. Werbach earned his BA from University of California at Berkeley and his JD from Harvard Law School, where he served as publishing editor of the Harvard Law Review.

Jasmine Jia WG21 (Senior Vice President, Business Development and Operations at BlockFi Investment Products LLC)
Jasmine Jia oversees the business development, strategic planning, and operations of BlockFi's Investment Products business unit. The organization provides investors access to the performance of digital assets through investment vehicles. Prior to joining BlockFi, Jasmine had over ten years of experience working with registered and unregistered funds, insurance companies, and banks. She also advised alternative fund managers in the launches of their first crypto investment funds.
Jasmine is a Wharton MBA and a CPA. She also graduated with a Master degree in Accounting and a Bachelor degree in Finance.
