The global cryptocurrency market hit the $3 trillion mark in late 2021. The growth of crypto assets across the globe testifies to the fact that the number of investors joining the crypto revolution is growing exponentially.
Please join us for a special Wharton women breakfast meeting to discuss the World of Crypto and its impact. We will have some light snacks and enjoy a presentation by Wharton alums, Jasmine Jia WG21 and Mayanka Melville WG07.
In this special session, we will discuss the keys to understanding blockchain, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, what are the benefits and risks of these new assets, trends to watch for in the quickly shifting sector and how will the trend toward web 3.0 and decentralized finance impact our lives.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:
Jasmine Jia WG21
Jasmine Jia oversees the business development, strategic planning, and operations of BlockFi's Investment Products business unit. The organization provides investors access to the performance of digital assets through investment vehicles. Prior to joining BlockFi, Jasmine had over ten years of experience working with registered and unregistered funds, insurance companies, and banks. She also advised alternative fund managers in the launches of their first crypto investment funds. Jasmine is a Wharton MBA and a CPA. She also graduated with a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in finance.
Mayanka Melville WG07
Mayanka Melville is a crypto-enthusiast and a Director at Capital Group, an investment management firm with $2.6 T in assets. She has previously held leadership roles in quantitative research, product development, operations and client service at Capital. Early in her career she was part of the Digital Strategy leadership team at Deloitte Consulting. Mayanka holds a BTech degree from IIT-Bombay, an MBA from the Wharton School and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mayanka is an active volunteer in her community and serves on the Board of Directors for Peace over Violence (peaceoverviolence.org) and on the Program Committee for Chrysalis (changelives.org). Mayanka is based in Los Angeles.

Alissa Finerman WG98
Alissa Finerman is an Executive Coach, Gallup Certified Strengths® Coach, facilitator, VC/Angel Investor and author of the book, "Living in Your Top 1%." She works with teams, executives, managers, entrepreneurs and VC firms to help them develop leaders. Alissa holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley. She received her coach training from New York University, Results Coaching and Gallup Strengths Coaching Program.
Alissa's business background includes ten years in finance at Credit Suisse, a top-tier global investment bank; IPC, a former Goldman Sachs portfolio company serving the financial industry; Guggenheim Capital, a boutique investment management firm and five years in commercial real estate.
Alissa was an All-American tennis player at the University of California, Berkeley and competed on the Women's Professional Tennis Tour (ranked #202 in Doubles). She has been ranked No. 1 in the USTA National Women's Doubles in various age groups.
