WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU MET AN ASTRONAUT?
The Penn Club LA and Wharton Club of Southern California are pleased to invite Penn and Wharton alums to a very special evening of entertaining and humorous stories about space with Penn alum and Caltech PhD, Garrett Reisman, a former NASA astronaut, ex-Director of Space Operations at SpaceX and now Astronautical Engineering professor at USC.
Garrett was a member of the STS-132 mission that traveled to the International Space Station aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis. He's flown on all three space shuttles, has performed 3 spacewalks and, in 2008, was interviewed live from space by Stephen Colbert for the Colbert Report. He was also an aquanaut on the NEEMO V Aquarius, living in the underwater laboratory for two weeks.
As if he weren't busy enough, Garrett also co-hosts the comedy podcast “Two Funny Astronauts” with fellow Astronaut Mike Massimino in addition to being a Technical Consultant on the Apple TV+ series "For All Mankind." He had a cameo appearance on the TV Show Batllestar Gallactica.
