HBSASC - Future of Healthcare: AI, technology, personalized care and lower cost

The Harvard Business School Association of Southern California invites members and non-members of The Wharton Club of Southern California to join them for an interactive discussion on the future of healthcare covering AI, technology, personalized care and lower cost.

Rajeev Ronanki serves as President, Digital Platforms at Anthem, a leading provider of health insurance in the United States.  His experience spans over 20 years of innovation-driven industry and social change across healthcare and technology.  In "You and AI", he explores how exponential technologies can solve the problems that plague the American healthcare industry and provide everyone better, personalized healthcare at lower cost.  Enterprising healthcare companies are forging the way by integrating exponential technologies right into the company DNA, creating AI-first, blockchain-first, data-first, technology-first digital enterprises for the twenty-first century and beyond. 

In the lively, interactive discussion, HBSASC will kick off by discussing how and why Anthem Inc. has such a strong focus on exponential technologies and specifically Artificial Intelligence.  They will explore Anthem’s digital incubator, how an insurance company can transform itself by using technology and why Anthem believes that unlocking data is the catalyst for Healthcare 2.0.  The discussion will then explore some of the major challenges that the Healthcare industry faces today and discuss concrete examples of how AI and exponential technologies can transform the healthcare experience as we know it.  In conclusion they will peek into the future to discuss the pace and timing of healthcare evolution and what the experience may look like a decade from now.

Anastasia Chernykh, serves as Director, Strategic Business Improvement at Alera Group, Inc. a national insurance and financial services firm in the U.S.  In her role, she identifies gaps in performance or opportunities for action within the enterprise, supports strategic national initiatives and the development of long-term growth and profitability goals for Alera Group.  Located in Southern California, Anastasia has served in various roles within the organization over the past 8 years - including leadership of Sales team, Client Service team and Welfare Benefits Compliance for Alera Group’s Orange County office.  Anastasia is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development and is pursuing alumni designation in 2022.  She is an event facilitator for Harvard Business School Association of Southern California and a Program Manager for Harvard in Tech, Seattle – leading their AI event series.  Her personal efforts focus on connecting people to their unique “Why”, supporting global healthcare equity and increasing access to Arts education for low-income students in the United States.
