Join members and non-members of The Wharton Club of Southern California for a 2-mile hike to the Nike Missile Control Site LA-96 - on an unpaved road with a gentle slope. We will walk while sharing a mix of 1950s Cold War History along with pristine mountain semi-wilderness. An optional additional 2 miles to the crest of a 450-meter hilltop with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean -- with a short walk up a smaller nearer slope to the EarthSCOPE GPS Seismic Tectonic Plate Boundary Observatory station -- is also possible.
Please bring water, sunscreen, hats, and snacks to make it an enjoyable experience.
Space is limited, so sign up soon!
