Daniel Bednar
Daniel began his professional journey as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Navy, dedicating a decade to national service. His notable assignments include leading a division aboard the USS MAKIN ISLAND (LHD 8), undertaking a sea deployment around South America, a year land deployment to Afghanistan, and spearheading a highly sensitive program at the Office of Naval Intelligence in Washington, D.C. Here, he orchestrated national intelligence missions in collaboration with premier agencies like the Defense Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, and Central Intelligence Agency.
Transitioning to the financial sector in 2017, Daniel joined CBC Federal Credit Union. As the driving force behind its strategic development, he championed an impressive asset growth from $450M to $840M. His multifaceted role encompasses program management, marketing, community and business development, card services, and facilities management. A testament to his negotiation skills, Daniel secured three branch partnerships with Dunkin' and expertly oversees CBC's internal real estate portfolio.
Demonstrating entrepreneurial acumen, in 2019, Daniel co-founded Axiom Financial Insights. This consultancy pioneered the cannabis banking program for the largest credit union serving the U.S. market.
Raised in Ventura County, CA, Daniel was an all-round athlete at Rio Mesa High School. His prowess on the field led to his recruitment to play football for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. After completing his Bachelor of Science in 2008, he was commissioned as a Navy Officer.
His commitment to academic excellence continued. Daniel holds a Master’s in National Security & Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. In 2023, he further honed his expertise by becoming anAlumnus of The Wharton School’s Executive Education Program.
A firm believer in community upliftment, Daniel chairs the board at Studio Channel Islands Art Center in Camarillo and has imparted managerial leadership knowledge as an adjunct professor at California Lutheran University.
