Come join the Wharton Club of Southern California for the first in a series of discussions on one of the hottest topics in Private Equity - Small/Medium Business (SMB) acquisitions and Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA).
Boomers currently own 60% of SMBs in the US, employing 47% of private sector employees. By some estimates, 11,000 Boomers are retiring every day. This "Silver Tsunami" is expected to generate $10 Trillion in wealth and asset transfers over the next two decades.
While many retiring Boomers may sell their companies to competitors or Private Equity, allow for management/employee buy-outs or pass them on to heirs, a large subset have no transition plans. This pool represents a fantastic acquisition opportunity for would-be CEOs and forms the basis of the ETA model.
If you're in the process of looking for a company to buy, raising capital to make an acquisition, in the operating phase following deal closure or just interested in learning more about ETA, this community is for you. Register today!
Questions to keep in mind for the event:
- Do you have any specific questions about the ETA process?
- What's stopping you from getting started in your search?
- What have been the biggest challenges in your search and/or acquisition?
Date/Time: Tue 7/25, 5pm PDT
