Join Wharton women and come learn American mahjong overlooking the Pacific in South Redondo Beach. This is a private class just for our group to learn the game, have fun and meet new friends. The focus will be to build a foundation so we understand the game and can play in open Mahjong games eventually. No experience necessary!
Please note, the club will be doing two Mahjong events – one in Santa Monica, 10/9, and one in South Redondo Beach, 10/17. You are welcome to attend one or both events.
Event Schedule:
· 10 – 10:15am: Welcome and meet the group
· 10:15 – 11:15am: Mahjong Class
· 11:15 – 12pm: Open play and networking
Pricing:
· Wharton SoCal Club members: $50
· Non-members and guests: $55
Location: South Redondo Beach. Address provided after registration in confirmation email.
Coffee and bagels will be served.

About Your Instructor:
Leanne Huebner, W’90, is a national nonprofit founder, community leader, and L’Oréal Women of Worth finalist with a passion for bringing people together. Huebner co-founded Minds Matter, now celebrating its 35th year of helping low income students pursue college dreams. She has over 25 years of board experience on 7 different nonprofit boards. She currently serves as President of the Reach Higher Foundation and is on the Trustees Council of Penn Women. A longtime advocate for education and opportunity, she is now pursuing accreditation as a mahjong instructor -- combining her love of community, connection and a great game.
