The Wharton Environment and Climate Action Network (WECAN) is a Wharton Global Affinity Club dedicated to harnessing the collective power of the global Wharton alumni network to advance sustainable business solutions for the climate and environment.
Concurrent with our happy hour at Tiato Kitchen will be an Emerging LA AI "The Future of AI-Work" event with Brandon Hoffman, so join us for a great evening of learning, networking, and fun!

Parking: Street parking and discounted validated parking in the underground structure
Cost: Members, $10 with RSVP; non-members, $20 with RSVP (Members can bring one guest for free, but must register a free guest ticket - additional guest tickets added will be deleted)
NOTE: Ticket proceeds will be used to purchase food for attendees.

Ziwei Tang (WG22) is a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group, specializing in Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) and Consumer Goods (with a focus on Fashion and Luxury). Ziwei holds an MBA from the Wharton School, and a BA in European History and Economics from Brown University. During her time at Wharton, Ziwei served as the Co-President of Wharton Fashion Club, and hosted the 2022 Penn Charity Fashion Show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Engagement Manager, McKinsey
Julian Scott (WG21) is an Engagement Manager at McKinsey focused on climatetech & PE topics. Originally from Topanga Canyon, he spent 10 years in Boston and Philadelphia before returning to LA, where he gave up rugby for pickleball, golf, and skiing.

Killian Marie (WG19) is the co-founder of InsightBox, an innovative marketing tool that merges AI with human expertise and enables marketers to swiftly target high-performing audiences.
Killian holds an MBA in Business Analytics from The Wharton School, a Master’s in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering.
Beyond his professional life, Killian is an international Couchsurfer, a kitesurfing enthusiast, and a passionate advocate for climate change.

Wayne Hao (WG11) is currently the Vice President of Corporate Development for NANO Nuclear Energy, a clean energy technology company that focuses on nuclear microreactors with additional vertically integrated business lines in the nuclear supply chain.
In past roles, Mr. Hao has held leadership positions in successful entrepreneurial ventures including helping build and sell two early-stage startups with successful exits of over $150M in exit value and serving as an investment analyst for an $800M venture investment firm.
Mr. Hao holds an MBA from The Wharton Business School and a BS from Washington University in St. Louis.

Amy Richard Butte (WG03) has a career in delivering solutions for sustainability. Her experience includes product development, marketing and sales, commodity pricing and structuring, and project development.
At Constellation Energy, she launched successful renewable energy, onsite solar, and load management products representing hundreds of megawatts of power. As a consultant, she has worked with Pacific Gas and Electric, EPRI, PARC, Viridity Energy (now Ormat), EnerVault, the City of Santa Monica, and other clean tech startups and nonprofit organizations. Amy performs regulatory analysis and has worked as an advocate for equitable climate action. Amy earned her MBA in Operations and Finance from Wharton and a BA from Stanford.
Recently featured as one of Business Insider's 66 rising stars of venture capital, Brandon is currently a General Partner of Sunset Ventures and Founder of Emerging LA. Prior, he was a corporate VC & direct report to the Chief Innovation Officer of Samsung Electronics and a former Internet Equity Research analyst at Morgan Stanley.
Brandon received his dual-degree MBA & MPA from Wharton and Harvard Kennedy School.
