The Wharton Club of Southern California invites all members and non-members to this continuing series.  Catalysts represent leaders across different industries that continually drive change to enhance their business and community.  Wharton Women proudly sponsors this new virtual series designed to create and foster collisions through rich discussion.

The Catalyst:

Donna Wells W'83

Donna Wells is a former Tech CEO, Fortune 500 CMO, and a nationally-recognized innovator in the financial services, FinTech and cloud software industries. She is now investing in software startups, teaching entrepreneurship at Stanford, and serving on corporate boards.

Most recently, Ms. Wells was President and CEO of Mindflash Technologies, an enterprise software company which was named a Top 50 Small US Company to Work For by Fortune.  Before leading Mindflash, she was the founding CMO for Mint.com from this breakthrough FinTech's first product launch to the company's acquisition for 60X revenue two years later. The company was recognized as a Tech Pioneer by the World Economic Forum in Davos.  Prior to Mint, Ms. Wells held senior strategy, marketing, and product roles within industry leaders Charles Schwab and American Express and led U.S. marketing for two Fortune 500 companies: Intuit and Expedia, where she also led the company’s $1.7 billion Affiliate business. Ms. Wells currently serves on the boards of Walker & Dunlop, Mitek Systems, CWT, Inc., and Betterment.  She was previously a board member for Apex Technology Acquisition Corporation, Boston Private Bank, and Happy Money.  She was named Board Director of the Year by Women in Information Technology in 2021. Ms. Wells is a frequent speaker on issues relevant to public and private corporate governance, technology and financial services industry leadership and diversity, strategic marketing, and digital innovation. She holds a B.S. Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Stanford.
