Secil has 29 years of experience in early start-up, large corporate, and management consulting environments with deep expertise in digital, banking, and financial technology. She is a board director for Bank of Marin Bancorp and Bank of Marin, where she serves on Audit and Nominating & Governance committees, and chairs Wealth Management and Trust committee. She is a board director for Landed, a Series B funded fintech start-up whose mission is to help essential workers own homes. She is a board director for Everi Holdings, a leading provider of digital and land-based fintech and gaming solutions for casinos globally, where she serves on Audit, Nominating & Governance and Compensation committees. She is a board director for McLaren Technology Acquisition Corp, a SPAC that is looking to acquire a fintech company, where she serves on Audit Committee. Secil also advises Fortune 500 and growth companies on digital transformation and product strategy. Until 2021, Secil was an Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Solutions at Wells Fargo, where she was responsible for digital transformation, and oversaw innovations in payments, cyber-fraud, and customer experience. She led Commercial Electronic Office™ portal for Commercial Banking which transacted over $14tr payments annually, and the Wells Fargo Gateway for open banking APIs, which processed 4.4bn data calls in 2020. She is a native of Turkey and brings a global perspective. She is a long-time practitioner of DEI programs and practices, is an advocate for nature conservation. She is a supporter and past board co-chair for Conservation Society of California and the Oakland Zoo. She is passionate about creating great customer experiences that deliver both business and community value. Secil has an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in Economics, Government, and International Relations from Cornell University.
