Paola Garcia Abbo WG18, GED18, is Vice President and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at OneMain Financial, where her goal is to develop socially responsible programs to improve the financial well-being of hardworking Americans. Prior to joining OneMain, Paola worked on the leadership team at Aura, a FinTech startup, and as an investment management associate at Goldman Sachs. Paola earned her MBA from the University of Pennsylvania at The Wharton School where she graduated on the Director’s List Honors. She also holds an M.Ed in Education Policy from the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. Prior to graduate school, Paola spent several years working in federal government for President Barack Obama’s Administration at both the White House and the Department of Treasury. She has extensive experience leading financial management, budgeting, operations, process improvements, change management, and strategic planning initiatives. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and of Salvadorean descent, Paola graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Political Economics. She is a proud Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), UC Berkeley Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) and Robert F. Toigo Foundation fellow, alumna and volunteer. She serves as Vice Chairman on the board of Leadership High School in San Francisco and as a board member for LatinaVIDA, and Street Smarts in Oakland. Paola, her husband, and son live in the East Bay.

Sheila’s results-oriented focus, collaborative style and ability to develop and lead high-performing, diverse teams enable growth and transformation.
